The consortium first Convention is the first opportunity to start learning about gender gap in high-tech sectors and about the needs of all partners. It begins with an Expert Seminar and continues with Exchange Session. Before the event, all partners will have received the FEMINA Project Methodology and an Understanding Barriers Input template to be used to prepare for the meeting and to be discussed during it.
The Consortium is open to partners and to local stakeholders interested in and contributing to the project theme.
DAY 1: 20 September 2018
Opening and Partners Expectations
Sara Bonci, Arezzo Innovazione – FEMINA Project Manager, opens the meeting and welcomes partners to Arezzo. Giuseppe Salvini, Secretary General of Arezzo Chamber of Commerce, Craft and Agriculture, adds his welcome and introduces partners to the province of Arezzo.
Expert Seminar - Welcome and Opening
Andrea Sereni, President of Arezzo Chamber of Commerce, Craft and Agriculture, opens the Expect Seminar with an overview of the history, culture and economy of the province of Arezzo.
Roberto Monnanni, President of Arezzo Innovazione, adds his welcome and explains why Arezzo Innovazione was keen to lead the FEMINA project.
Expert Seminar – Examples from FEMINA Advisory Board
The objective of this Seminar is to introduce partners to the project theme and the barriers related to promoting female entrepreneurship, career progression and gendered innovation.
The session is managed by Isabelle-Louise Aabel, GCE NODE – FEMINA Advisory Partner. GCE NODE has created an Advisory Board from their local area, which will bring a range of expertise to the project.
Exchange Session – Understanding Barriers and Enablers
The objective of this session is to encourage open discussion on barriers and enablers to female participation in high-tech enterprises. Each FEMINA region had worked on this topic before the meeting, as a starting point for the workshop. Following a reminder of the FEMINA approach and overview of the workshop methodology from Francesca Martemucci - Resolvo Srl (external support to Arezzo Innovazione).

Exchange Session – the Regional Context
The objective of this session is to continue exchange on regional analysis undertaken within the Understanding Barriers and Enablers Input Template, this time focused on partners’ local and regional contexts.
