During the EU Research and Innovation days, the winners of the 2020 EU Prize for Women Innovators were announced.
The winners of the 2020 EU Prize for Women Innovators were announced by Mariya Gabriel (Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education, and Youth) at the European Research and Innovation Days 2020.
The winners of the prize were:
Madiha Derouazi (Switzerland), founder and CEO of Amal Therapeutics, a company developing cancer vaccines.
Maria Fatima Lucas (Portugal), co-founder and CEO of Zymvol Biomodeling, a company developing computer-designed industrial enzymes by applying molecular modeling.
Arancha Martinez (Spain), co-founder and Managing Director of It Will Be. The company uses technological innovation to help tackle poverty and provides support to vulnerable women and children.
Josefien Groot (Netherlands) won the prize for Rising Innovator. She is the co-founder and CEO of Qlayers, a company developing microstructures to boost the efficiency of wind turbines.
