Upon the approaching conclusion of Phase 1 of the FINCH project, on 13th and 27th November 2020, RDA South-West Oltenia hosted two virtual meetings, through the CiscoWebex platform, in order to inform the regional stakeholders of the Partner Working Group about the current state of the project and the planned future actions.

During both online meetings, the purpose, content and main activities proposed in the Action Plan were briefly presented, as well as the policy instrument addressed by the project, respectively the Regional Development Plan (RDP) South-West Oltenia and the main priorities that could be influenced based on the good practices identified within the project. 

Also, the participants in the meeting were informed about aspects related to the implementation of the forthcoming second phase of the Project, when the actual implementation of the Action Plans will begin and the partners will start monitoring the progress. 

Dolj County Council and Mehedinti County Council, as active and relevant exponents in the field of protection and tourist capitalization of the cultural heritage, presented their most engaging and valuable projects implemented in this field, such as the construction of the Constantin Brâncuși International Center - Interactive Tourist Center, Rehabilitation and highlighting the historical monument - the current “Cornetti” Traditional School of Arts and Crafts of Craiova and the Rehabilitation of the Iron Gates Region Museum Complex and its valorization as a tourist product, Drobeta Turnu Severin. 



 

At the end of the meetings, the regional partners were informed that the project website and social media will be constantly updated with information on the implementation of the Regional Action Plans. RDA South-West Oltenia will actively contribute to providing news about the stage of its own RAP development, as well as other interesting approaches related to good practices and lessons learned that can be used for the sustainable capitalization of the cultural heritage in our region.
