The second Interregional learning event is taking place in Italy, in the Emilia-Romagna region, on 15th and 16th November 2017.

The workshop is going to focus on the creation, organization, and management of networks in the food supply chain aimed at enhancing innovation and the adoption of sustainable practices. Particularly, it is going to provide a closer look to the high quality food system, presenting successful examples of innovation obtained in food sectors with a traditional component in the production process. The learning workshop is going to take place in the campus of Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (UCSC) in Piacenza and is going to host project partners, public authorities, stakeholders, and also guest lecturers from relevant companies and organizations operating successfully in the quality food chains.

The event will favor the transmission of knowledge among participants, not only dedicating substantial time to active discussion, but also through visits to some of the most interesting activities of the food valley. Specifically, participants are going to attend the opening of Fico in Bologna, the largest agri-food park in the world, and visit several production facilities of Italian excellencies such as Parmigiano Reggiano and Prosciutto di Parma … and the chance of tasting them won’t be missed !
