The third Inter-regional Learning Workshop within the “FoodChains 4EU” Project took place in Baia Mare, Maramures County (Romania), on Thursday, November 8, 2018, focusing on "Tradition and Innovation" in the food chains sector.
The event was organised by Maramures County Council at "Petre Dulfu" County Library and gathered Romanian specialists in food sectors from regional and local academic and non-governmental fields, as well as international experts of the “FoodChains 4 EU” Project, participating at the Peer Review in Maramures, during 5-9 November 2018.
The speakers presented results of their research projects in domains such as molecular gastronomy, dietetic nutrition, food packaging and innovation of traditional and local products. Examples of good practices and successful European projects have been brought into attention in order to promote healthy food and businesses development in the field of local and traditional products.

- Mick Hadfield - Specialist food and drink business advisor for the Business Growth Hub covering Greater Manchester and Dominic Coleman – Specialist at Oldham Borough Council: presentation “Made in Lancashire and Food North West”
- Dan Cristian Vodnar, PhD - Vice-rector for Research Department of Food Science, University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine Cluj Napoca: presentation “Molecular Gastronomy: Food for tomorrow”
