On March 24th 2017 the province of Flevoland and the Aeres University of Applied science organized the first regional stakeholder meeting of the FoodChains 4 EU project in their region. 40 Entrepreneurs were present at this meeting.
The FoodChains 4 EU project was presented to them and the Flevo Food Network was officially launched. The Flevo Food Network is a new network of currently 120 food-entrepreneurs, from farmers to retailers, to bring more regional produced and healthy food to the inhabitants (consumers) of Flevoland.
At this meeting the action plan 2017/2018 was presented. Among these actions are branding Flevo Food, joint marketing and distribution, strengthening the network and working together with students of Aeres on innovation. Two entrepreneurs with expertise on marketing for regional food gave inspiring presentations with good practices and do’s and don not’s.
On June 16th 2017 a Flevo Food Tour will be organized to visit some of the entrepreneurs in the network and to speak with the organization of the Floriade Almere 2022 world expo.
