Many people are familiar with the pilgrim routes to Santiago de Compostela, Spain and the town has become a tourist destination welcoming millions of visitors each year. Norway's pilgrim paths are a haven of peaceful nature for pilgrims or nature lovers alike.
The visit will focus on route creation, signage, maintenance and low carbon transport. We will also learn about the relationships between government, pilgrim centres and faith groups in route creation, national policy and pilgrimage promotion.
