GROW RUP is an Interreg Europe project bringing together five EU Outermost Regions that supports the creation and growth of innovative companies in the field of green and blue economy, with a particular focus on long-term unemployed people in the ORs.
GROW RUP project is led by the Canary Islands Employment Service and its aim is to improve, through the exchange of experience between the regional administrations of 5 outermost regions, the design and management of structural policies for employment and business creation. During the project, the partners carried out an analysis of the unemployment situation with regard to a specific target group - long-term unemployed between 30 and 45 years - and of the possibilities that the green and blue economy offers them in terms of innovative business creation. The analysis included measures to support training, business start-ups in the region and the competitiveness of SMEs.
Between 2019 and 2021, GROW RUP moved from a learning to an implementation phase. Regional actions plans are put into practice and their progress is closely monitored. Project recommendations and results must be widely disseminated to the other ORs not involved as partners in the project, as well as other EU regions to provide them with the chance to take and replicate the lessons learnt. In order to do so, the partners are organizing a final dissemination event gathering executives and policy makers from the regions and from other relevant institutions. The aim is to promote the project achievements and to disseminate the results of the action plan implementation to a large audience.
Unfortunately, due to the current situation, this event will be organized virtually, but this also an opportunity to reach a wider audience.
The event will be held on 15 April 2020 and will be organized considering the following Agenda.
