The Staff Exchange Belgium & The Netherlands took place from the 28th of February till the 2nd of March. At the Staff Exchange partners share knowledge and experiences about their Good Practices. In this way they learn from each other and partners can learn how to implement these Good Practices in their own regions.
The Staff Exchange Belgium & The Netherlands focused on Living Labs. Different stakeholders presented examples of existing Living Labs at different places in Belgium & The Netherlands. Various experts showed the importance of a living lab and how you can build a living lab.
February, 28
The day started at Thomas Moore University where Zsuzsanna Bodi introduced ENoLL, the community of living labs. Kelly Verheyen, Ingrid Adriaensen, Vicky van der Auwera and Leen Broeckx from LiCalab presented their knowledge and experience about Living Labs. After the lunch Melanie Ryckaert and Nele Janssen from the City of Turnhout illustrated the role of the government in Living Labs. Ellen van Hoof from the Health&Care Network explained this network and showed how they contribute to living labs. The day ended with an interactive workshop of IMEC, presented by Jonas Albert, about business modelling for internationalizing digital health innovators with living lab support.

Lieven de Maesschalck and Kris Goos inspired the partners with a tour through their post-rehabilitation center, REVAlution, at Herentals Hospital. Elise Torfs presented insights about home care and showed the partners around in the experience center in Wit-Gele Kruis in Herentals, Belgium. In the afternoon all partners travelled to Eindhoven for a presentation from Joyce de Laat from Slimmer Leven 2020 about the operational side of Living Labs. Robbert Bloemendaal and Pieter Schendstok proved the added value of Crosscare and living labs with their presentation about Nightwatch. The day ended with a partner meeting about the HELIUM project.

During a visit at GGzE in Eindhoven, The Netherlands, Freena van Leeuwen - Eijffinger explained eLab, an innovative ecosystem and she presented some real-case examples. Rens Brankaert shared his academic point of view on Design-drive Living Labs. In the afternoon Hilde Meijs explained the role of an educational institute and students and local residents showed the partners around in Lokaal plus at Summa Zorg college, Eindhoven.
