Representatives of the HoCare project’s Lead Partner, the Nicosia Development Agency (ANEL) were invited to present the Action Plan of Cyprus they are implementing to a side event of The European Week of Cities and Regions that took place the past week in Brussels. The Action Plan was selected to be presented as a good example of turning interregional experience into practice by the Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs (DG GROW) of the European Commission.

The Action Plan, as a result of the international process of knowledge and experience sharing, involves the capitalization of the acquired knowledge and its exploitation for the development of a new infrastructure project at national level. The new project is part of the development of IT solutions for the provision of health services. The new infrastructure project is being implemented in cooperation with the Directorate General for European Programmes, Coordination and Development and the Ministry of Health and concerns the establishment of an electronic platform for the provision of the home care services of the Ministry of Health.

ANEL’s work was presented by the Director of the Organization, Mr. Eleftherios Loizou and by the European Projects Officer, Mrs. Eleni Malekkidou, on Wednesday, 10th of December 2018 at the event entitled "Achieving Industrial Modernization through Regional Cooperation Partnerships on S3P - Industry ". The event was organized by the Regional Co-operation Networks for Industrial Modernisation Initiative (ReConfirm) with the participation of two Directorates-General of the European Commission, (DG GROW and DG REGIO) and the Joint Secretariat of the Interreg Europe Programme.
