Protected areas have the potential to be an economic catalyst in rural areas. But how do we develop this potential without compromising the integrity of the nature conservation and retain the livelihoods of rural areas. Is it time to promote socio-economic development of protected areas to retain our young people? How can protected areas do it? What would be the limits?
