Ramūnas Povilanskas, EUCC Baltic Office Director, gave an oral presentation at the Littoral 2017 conference, which took place in Liverpool 4 to 7 September, 2017.

Littoral 2017 is an international meeting of researchers, practitioners, and policy makers dedicated to coastal and maritime conservation and management having the longest tradition in Europe among such kind of events.

The title of the presentation by Ramūnas Povilanskas was IMPACT INTERREG Europe Project and its Impact on Coastal and Marine Protected Areas in Lithuania. Professor Povilanskas disseminated good practices and first results from the IMPACT Project

 The participants also attended the field trips to the most interesting sites of mobile dune conservation and management in West England.



The results from this conference will be conveyed to the IMPACT project partners in two ways:

First, as a feedback on the presented IMPACT outputs from the policy-makers attending the conference. Second, good practices and advanced models in coastal protected area management from other countries presented at the conference will be highlighted and discussed during the 3rd IMPACT project partner meeting in Klaipėda, Lithuania on October 23 to 25, 2017
