The policy brief provides a definition of cultural and natural heritage and sustainable  tourism and explores the links between them.


It demonstrates that cultural and natural heritage is a significant asset for local communities and makes an overview of European Union policies and initiatives in the field.



It also showcases how Interreg Europe projects fit into the picture by responding to challenges at the intersection of cultural and natural heritage and tourism.  Among these, IMPACT project contributes with a Good Practice from its partner ENRx (France) : "Promoting region’s vegetable heritage through “Gîtes de France” tourist  accommodation" with the project "Jardin vitrines or Showcase Gardens".
