IMPACT Interreg Europe partners have identified the use of ICT technologies as an effective tool to promote tourism in protected areas. This is why the Good Practice "Paths and ICT apps for self-guiding tours in UNESCO Biosphere Reserve “Alto Molise”  shared by the Regione Molise, one of the partners of the project, have been included in the action plans and will be replicated in the other partners' regions.

Likewise, the INTERREG Progam has published a policy brief entitled Digital solutions in the field of cultural heritage.

ICT revolutionise the way we travel and enjoy tourism. With regards to cultural tourism, ICT  add economic value through tourism applications that provide quality information about heritage sites and enhance visitors’ experience. In addition, harnessing innovation and digital solutions contributes to a more sustainable and responsible tourism sector.
