Given the ambition of the EU energy transition targets and the urgency of involving more people in the energy transition, the Policy Learning Platform will host a renewable energy financing webinar series on April 28 and May 5.

The first webinar will focus on "renewable energy financing for the public sector" (April 28 from 14:00 to 15:30 CET). This episode will concentrate on RES finance in the public domain. In particular, how project bundling can be used to reduce costs and raise third-party funding. (For example, how can public building owners install PV and have someone else pay for it?)

The second, on May 5 between 14:00 and 15:30 CET, will focus on "mobilizing citizen financing for renewables". During this episode, the speakers will explore RES finance in the private domain, focusing on mobilizing citizen financing and what public authorities can do to facilitate it.

Interreg Europe has invited all its projects working on renewable energy financing, including financial instruments, community energy, project bundling, and project development assistance.
