The European Commission's Directorate-General for Employment, Social Affairs, and Inclusion (DG EMPL), in collaboration with the European Investment Bank (EIB), is organizing a fi-compass webinar 'Good practices of ESF+ financial instruments for social economy' on Tuesday, 21 June 2022, from 14.00 to 17.00 CEST.
The webinar will focus on real-life financial instruments, including on-the-ground instances of ESF supporting social entrepreneurship and microfinance. Two study cases will be in the spotlight: that of Bulgaria, namely for its guarantees and risk-sharing loans for microfinance, and that of Saxony, in Germany, in a session dedicated to ESF support to microfinance facilities.
To present these sessions, the organization gathered experts from the European Commission, the European Investment Bank, as well as management authorities, and other organizations engaged in the execution of financial instruments.
Before the closing remarks, the DG EMPL and the EIB will jointly discuss the fi-compass activities under ESF, going through its past achievements and future perspectives.
