Are you a financial instruments fan?

Then this is your time to shine.

Hundreds of projects from across the EU and a wide range of sectors are financed thanks to EU shared management financial instruments.

You could be the winner of our next Showcase Award!

Fi-Compass is launching a new edition of the fi-compass Showcase. This a unique opportunity to share and promote your financial instrument success stories within the fi-compass community.

How does it work in practice?

Participating is super easy. Grab your camera, GoPro or mobile phone and get out there to show the impact of your financial instruments on the ground. Send your contribution following the instructions below and give yourself the chance to win the Showcase prize at the next FI Campus event on 13-15 March 2023.

Participation in the fi-compass Showcase 2023 is open to all fi-compass stakeholders: managing authorities, intermediate bodies, funds of funds, financial intermediaries, final recipients and any other stakeholders involved in financial instruments under EU shared management (ERDF, EAFRD, ESF+, EMFAF, and AMIF). Just let your creativity guide you!

How can I participate?

The theme of the fi-compass Showcase 2023 is ‘Financing a sustainable and inclusive Europe’. Submissions should demonstrate how EU shared management funds financial instruments are supporting businesses and/or EU citizens to invest in the economic and social development of their regions.

Your contribution can take the form of:

  • A short video story (duration of 1-7 minutes);
  • A photo story (3-10 pictures) accompanied by a short 300-word article; or
  • An infographic or poster.

You can focus on the financial instruments’ objectives, implementation process, and/or results. It’s important you describe one or more projects supported by the instrument to show us the impact of the investment. You can gather insights from final recipients or other stakeholders involved to make your story more complete and richer.

Note: the stories should be in English or a national language, with an English translation or subtitles.

 What happens next?

Once you send your contributions via email at [email protected] you will be contacted to secure the grant of the rights needed to allow for publication on our website. Then, someone will publish your contribution on a dedicated page on our website and start advertising it on our Social Media channels.

A panel of fi-compass and European Commission experts will then select up to ten submissions to be included in the shortlist for the award. The selection will be made based on the criteria outlined in the Showcase competition rules.

How does voting work?

At the next FI Campus event in March 2023, the shortlisted submissions will be shown and presented for event participants to vote for their favourite project.

But wait, there’s more. You can also win a prize!

The three stories with the most votes will walk away with the fi-compass Showcase 2023 trophy, which will be awarded during a short ceremony held at FI Campus 2023.

I can’t wait to get started, how much time do I have to send you my contribution?

The deadline for submissions is Tuesday, 31 January 2023. So get started as soon as possible: the earlier, the better!
