The fourth interregional learning meeting of Innova-FI was held this September to offer to the partnership, as well as, the stakeholders, regional updates and to pay a visit to successful public and private financial institutions. Hosted by the IVACE in Valencia (Spain), the exchange of experience also included the final roundtable discussions on the Innova-FI tool, its outputs to be presented at the European Week of Regions and Cities and a Steering Committee meeting involving the next steps for the project.
Some highlights of this exchange include the keynote speech of Julia Company (General Director of IVACE) and of Andru Iranzo (Directorate-General for European Funds), the presentation of Isabel Jiménez (Valencian Foundation for Financial and Stock Exchange Studies) and the debate on ‘Regional Financial Public Instruments’ with the General Director of Valencia Institute of Finance and representatives of IVACE and AFIN SGR.
Besides these, on the second day, the partnership visited the innovation hub Innsomnia, where Valencia Activa presented the entrepreneurial ecosystem of Valencia and a session with the private sector (BigBAN, Banco Sabadell, Clave Mayor, Business BBooster Funds and Colectual) took place. The exchange finished with a round table on the use of guarantees as an innovation support mechanism followed by a joint session with the ‘Valencia Regional Observatory for Financing Competitive Business Growth’ – a way to link the demands of the European Union with regional cooperation projects.
