University of Debrecen as partner of the InnovaSPA (INTERREG EUROPE) project has organised the first stakeholder meeting on 30 October 2018.
Professionals of the well-known and fantastic spas of the region (Aquaticum and Hungarospa Hajdúszoboszló), experts of the Thermal-Health Industrial Cluster and Hajdú-Bihar County Government, beside the Managing Authority (Ministry of Finance) and faculties of the university itself ceased the opportunity together to prepare the analysis tables about the Strengths-Weaknesses-Opportunities-Threats in topics suggested by the responsible partners and to have a discussion about the good practices.
It is worth mentioning that the university is interested in the Innovative Training Networks call, as it already has some interesting curriculum connected to eg. hydrobiology. The stakeholders stated that they are also interested in solutions to the cleaning of the used thermal water and the innovative possibilities like its use as source of energy or the reuse of the remaining salts.
This county has a long history in thermalism, not only the number, but the quality of the hot springs is high and cross-cluster cooperation can make it possible to have lively strategic partnerships.
Of course there are problems to tackle, too – hopefully other partners will have good practices which can give a boost to the time-management issues or other areas mentioned at the meeting.
The stakeholders went through many good practices of the convergence regions of Hungary (primarily Hajdú-Bihar county) and with the strong support of the Managing Authority (Ministry of Finance), the Good Practice catalogue of the INTERREG EUROPE program can be widened by University of Debrecen, soon.
