The City of Zadar has a population of 75,000 people. It is the oldest continuously inhabited city in Croatia and the fifth largest. With an area of 25km2 it is the second largets largest city in the region of Dalmatia. The city is a popular destination for cruise ships.
The study visit will focus on a number of greenhouse gas emission reduction measures undertaken by the City of Zadar. This includes examining the cities sustainable development policy, the introduction oif e-scooters and e-bikes and greenhouse gas emission reductions in the home. The cities involvement in the CB Green and "Irene" project will also be purveyed. Participants in the Croatian "Compete4SECAP" project, the "Green Harbor Project" and the Grow Green Project will identify the challenges and opportunities that these projects present for the City of Zadar.
