Vitoria-Gasteiz participates in the Green Homes Programme, an initiative which aims to promote a more ecological attitude among the city's families by promoting savings in water and energy consumption and helping to make more ethical and ecological purchases.

The programme, which is free, is aimed at families in Vitoria-Gasteiz who want to be more ecological and sustainable and contribute to making the city greener. Turning off the light, starting the washing machine, turning off the tap, adjusting the thermostat, throwing away the rubbish, buying food, moving around the city, are all gestures that we make every day. Did you know that small changes in these daily actions can help you save money and be more respectful of your environment?

What is offered to families?

- A visit to analyse the domestic consumption of your home

- Personalised advice for one year with an expert to solve all your questions

- 6 Thematic workshops (energy, waste, gardening and horticulture, water, mobility and consumption) with practical and simple advice to save on your household bills

- An ecological kit, with elements to facilitate your savings

- Acquiring sustainable habits in consumption, mobility, etc.

In 2019 55 families (141 people) participated in the programme, and 257 people in the open workshops.
