The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government in the UK has issued a Building Regulations circular letter which supports local authorities to enforce nearly zero energy buildings from 31 December 2020.

The circular letter clarifies the implementation of the requirements for new buildings to meet regulation 25B of the Buildings Regulations 2010 – where a building is erected, it must be a nearly zero-energy building.

The nearly zero-energy requirements for new buildings is published on the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government webpages.
