The Climate Jargon Buster website explains common climate action terms in plain English with explanations given to describe ideas and concepts rather than to give strict scientific definitions.

Adapting the language to be accessible for all accelerates awareness raising efforts and removes barriers which may hinder better understanding. The inclusive language also promotes community engagement and empowers citizens through improved communications.

The communication website is developed by the Department of the Taoiseach with assistance from a group of young people from Comhairle na nÓg, the Environmental Protection Agency and the National Adult Literacy Agency.
