The lead partner of project INTRA held the regional stakeholder meeting at its premises today, with sixteen participants, of which three represented national stakeholders Ministry of Economic Development, Technology and SPIRIT Slovenia - Public Agency for Entrepreneurship, Internationalization, Foreign Investments and Technology, Economic Interest Grouping of Slovenian Regional Development Agencies; and others represented seven key stakeholders, including the University of Maribor, represented through the members of Faculty of Economics and TechnoCenter (Technology Transfer Office), Styrian Technology Park, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Štajerska, Regional chambers of craft and small business, Institute for Entrepreneurship Research Maribor and an Agency for Marketing of Areas, who have along with external experts and members of hosting organization staff (both members of the project team and other staff members) brainstormed on the ecosystem supporting the internationalization of SMEs.

Initially each participant presented the roll and goal of its organization, both in a way of supporting SMEs in general and focusing on their activities supporting internationalization.

They all agreed that many of their activities are in a way overlapping, yet they each have a different primary group of entrepreneurs with whom they work and can therefore find great synergy in preparation of joint pilot activities to target the needs of regional SMEs and support their internationalization, financed through the funding possibilities offered by the national operational programme.
