IRENES is a multi-national project with partners from Italy, Estonia, Germany and Romania investigating the scope for renewable energy generation without impairing or impacting on other natural land based assets such as food production, recreational use or biodiversity. IRENES is particularly interested in the trade offs and synergies between these uses of land and how they be better incorporated into strategies and policy instruments. The conference will include a key note address by Lord Deben, Chair of the Climate Change Commission, case studies from the East of England and GIS based analyses of these trade offs and synergies in the East of England.

Details of how to access the live event will be sent to registered delegates before 28th September 2021.
