n the first part of the meeting, we made an excursion with the new implemented city bus in Lienz. This new bus system has been in operation since December 2016. During the excursion we talked about challenges, chances and even risk of the new public bus system and also advantages and disadvantages for the residents as well as guests who make use of it.
Afterwards the RMO gave an update of the status-quo in the project. A presentation of the 35 most visited touristic hot spots as well as results of the regional analysis part was given. We also informed all stakeholders about current project developments of flexible and sustainable mobility solutions in the municipalities of East Tyrol.
The main part of the stakeholder meeting was about the regional action plan. We discussed about possible goals and approaches for the regional action plan. A representative of the regional transport association talked about their plans for flexible mobility and could reply issues about the public transport problems and solutions within the region.
