... the Action Plan for Slovenia

The Action Plan developed by the National Institute of Chemistry for Slovenia aims to link the stakeholders – economic entities, educational and research area, authorities and individuals – in the value chain according to the principle of completed continuous flows, as well as to develop new models for transition to a circular economy.

 It encompasses two actions:

  • implementing mathematical models for green public procurement (LCA costing model) into the Slovenian Public Procurement system (legislation and procedures) to help with calculating the costs of the purchase and use when buying vehicles for public authorities.
  • organisation of a course on Circular economy for interested participants from the
Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Štajerska, that will include the representative of the
vocational associations and relevant Ministries. The goal is to promote the idea of Circular economy to create a more sustainable economic growth model for Slovenian businesses/companies.
