The TIME HAS COME!!! to register your interest in attending two amazing events during European Mobility Week to be held in Cork City on 20th September 2019.
The first is the MATCH-UP “Race Against Rob” - World Champion, Olympic Medallist and National Record Holder for the 50km walking race – Rob Heffernan. Rob is a community and youth ambassador and will be joined by a number of transition year students to highlight the 2019 European Mobility Week theme “Walk with Us!” - focusing on safe walking and cycling and the ways active mobility can benefit our health and environment. You will “Race against Rob” using other low carbon means of transport including cycling, bike hire and public transport to highlight the connectivity of low carbon modes of transport in Cork City. The second event is the MATCH-UP Mobility Café which has a range of very interesting speakers who will be discussing low carbon modal interchange and the proposed Cork Metropolitan Area Transport Strategy 2040. Our guest speakers include representatives from the Municipality of Utrecht, Trinity College Dublin, the National Transport Authority, Jacobs & Cork Environmental Forum.
