From 11-13 March 2019 the partners of the Interreg Europe project Medtech4 Europe will gather in Maastricht, Limburg (the Netherlands) to exchange about the ins and outs of medtech ecosystems. Partners have described their medtech innovation ecosystems in a state of play and on that basis a joint cross analysis was performed as a deliverable of the project. Partners want to discuss in Limburg together with stakeholders from the medtech triple helix about the construction of such medtech innovation ecosystems.
Limburg being an innovation leader region according to the EU Innovation Scoreboard wants to showcase their way of working in the open innovation ecosystem Brightlands. Visitors will visit the triple helix actors on the Brightlands Maastricht Health Campus and in a workshop they will discuss the importance of start-ups in such an ecosystem, the presence of an university hospital, the positive effects of covering the whole value chain in order to be top of the bill in clinical trials and last but not least all regions will discuss their troubles with the implementation of the new EU-Regulation on Medical Devices.
