PatrasIQ is a good practice exported in the framework of OSIRIS season 1. The event helps empower the regional innovation system and strengthen co-creation through interregional cooperation of actors in different sectors.

This year's exhibition is also a good example of how such an event can adapt and be organized during the pandemic, fully transforming the expo from physical to virtual, with great success and stakeholders participation.

The annual PATRAS IQ Exhibition promotes the interconnection of top research/technological achievements of the academic and research community and the productive sector. In this respect, the challenge is even bigger as the exhibition can and should be a key driver of growth with significant benefits to the real economy.

It is a highly successful co-operation of the productive institutions of the Ministry of Development & Investments, the Ministry of Education & Religious Affairs (supervising body of CTI "Diophantus"), the University of Patras, the Hellenic Open University, the Region of Western Greece and the Chamber of Achaia, by supporting and promoting smart development.

For 2021, the 7th Patras IQ 2021 Exhibition, with its vision of establishing itself as a distinguished exhibition for the promotion of Innovation on a national and European scale, aims to highlight mature and innovative research ideas for their further development for the benefit of society and the economy and returns dynamically. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the exhibition takes place in a hybrid form, with all booths available in a virtual form and parallel live-streamed sessions. Science and research actors, support bodies and companies participate with their own virtual booth, while there are two auditoriums for the live sessions.

The latest years, PatrasIQ has become one of the major innovation-related events that take place in the area of Western Greece, with the participation of stakeholders from all over the country.
