The main theme of the workshop is financial instruments and finances (incl. micro-funding and crowdfunding) in support of entrepreneurship in the digital world of today. Access to sufficient and affordable financing is a core requirement for successful entrepreneurship, and lack of finance is commonly recognized as a major obstacle. As banks and other traditional financial institutions have become stricter in their lending practices, there is a need to identify alternative financial instruments for first-time start-ups.
