We are honored and pleased to invite you to participate in a workshop session organized as part of the OSS project - One Stop Shop towards competitive SMEs, focusing on the ecosystem for the first-line service system, co-financed by the Interreg Europe Program. The meeting will be held on June 8-9, 2021 at 10:00 am in an online form. This meeting is organized by a Polish Partner - Rzeszow Regional Development Agency.
During the meeting, it is planned to present good practices from the comprehensive experience on implementing various projects & schemes for advisor support services for first-time entrepreneurs. This includes the development of the entrepreneurship ecosystem and infrastructure for first-line support service, incl. providing advice on access to finance and R&D, access to market, facilitating technology-related knowledge, and entrepreneurship education.
OSS is a partnership project funded under the INTERREG EUROPE Program that works across seven EU regions to improve start-up support policies. Europe has a lower number of start-ups compared to other parts of the world, such as the US or Asia. Europe should be seen as attractive to creative and young people. There is a need to offer attractive jobs and livelihoods and to stimulate an entrepreneurial spirit, especially among young people. Therefore, it is very important to have an attractive, tailored ecosystem for start-ups to improve SME growth, entrepreneurial skills and overcome specific barriers. It is essential to get more people to start their own business and, more importantly, to help them succeed, increasing the chances of survival during the first 3-5 years of business. To achieve this, it is essential to improve the quality of ecosystems for new entrepreneurs, in particular frontline support services, which are the "entry point" for potential entrepreneurs.
