How to make the financial instruments work for first-time entrepreneurs?

Wow, that was a really good meeting. 

The meeting titled Financial instruments and finances: How to make the financial instruments work for the first-time entrepreneurs was an online event organized by our Slovenian partner - BSC Business Support Center, Kranj.  We hope that soon the situation will be changed and we all be able to meet and work in person as it was planned. for no, let me give you info on that good meeting, but for now, we try to run our work online.

That was of course the meeting as part of our regular meetings that take place each semester in the partner's country. The meeting in the fifth semester was planned to take place in Slovenia. Because of the Covid-19 situation, some changes regarding our project's implementation will also be made. Of course, I will inform you of these changes when it'll be accepted by the JS.

What was the first day look like?

For now, let's get back to the workshop session. These were 2 days of really intensive work. The whole meeting was moderated and guided by the representative of our Slovenian partner - Andraž Siler, and our dependable Project Leader - Malene Aaram Vike. During the first time, representatives of our Partners had a chance to present some Good Practices related to the topic mentioned above. And so, the presentations were followed as below:

1. Norway - Innovation Norway

 The representatives of this company had a chance to present their solutions. As you already know, it is a state-owned company for the promotion of Norwegian trade, tourism, and inventions established in 2004, replacing the four existing non-governmental organizations: Norwegian Chamber of Tourism Norwegian Trade Council State Industrial and Regional Development Fund. Once again, we'd like to thank a lot to MARI DORTE JONLAND MICHAELSENof  INNOVATION  NORWAY and ANJA SOLEVÅGSEIDE of PIR INVEST for this interesting presentation.

                   

2. the United Kingdom - Acess2Finance Week

At this time, the representative of Dorset GrowthHub - Shelly Collins - has presented us with the idea of this as an amazing event. Shelly, thank you for your contribution and we all hope to see you soon.

                  

3. Bulgaria - LEVERAGING PUBLIC AND PRIVATE PARTNERSHIPS TO FINANCE  START-UPS AND SOCIAL  ENTERPRISES AT REASONABLE  COST

At this point,  GEORGI BRESKOVSKI - EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF  MIKROFOND JSCO, BULGARIA presented us with really impressive facts on that subject. For your knowledge: Mikrofond JSCo is a joint-stock company operating across Bulgaria via a network of more than 10 branches. Mr. Breskovski - Thank you a lot for your contribution to our meeting.

                      

4. Spain - GRANTS FOR INDUSTRIAL  DEVELOPMENT, IMPROVING  COMPETITIVENESS, DIGITAL  TRANSFORMATION, AND JOB  CREATION

So, here,  I'd like to thank  BJÖRN JÜRGENS, INNOVATION AND DEVELOPMENT  AGENCY OF ANDALUSIA for his attendance at our meeting and give us as much information. Of course, we hope to see you soon in person.

                    

5. Slovenia - SIO 2020-2022, KOVAČNICA - BUSINESS INCUBATOR KRANJ

Here, the member of our Project Team from Slovenia,  Nives Justin has presented us with the newest project that is run in Slovenia. Maybe it's worth checking? Thank you, Nives a lot for your hard work and excellent presentation.

                   

6. Poland - BUSINESS INITIATOR - AN EXAMPLE OF JOINT SUPPORT  FOR NEW ENTREPRENEURS

Last but not least as we usually say. The representative of Rzeszow Regional Development Agency, Marek Duda, explained the main assumptions of the project titled Business Initiator that was run by Polish Partner in previous years. Mr. Duda, thank you a lot.

                

And after these presentations, there was a time for our guest speakers, who were:

                                           JAKA VADNJAL

Mr. Jaka Vadnjal is an independent business advisor from Slovenia.  He is also a former CEO of Hranilnica Lon bank. Independent financial consultant and start-up mentor. He has participated in many international scientific conferences on the subject of entrepreneurship . During our meeting, he told us about financial banking solutions for new entrepreneurs and startuppers. Thank you Mr. Vadnjal - you gave us a view on a really important and difficult subject.

                 

                                              Tilen Travnik

He is a co-founder and partner of d.labs. He has got 15-year's experience in the field of agile management in optimizing the development processes of Internet products. d.labs offers expertise in creating and scaling the game-defining digital products that are needed to compete with market leaders and attract future customers. Thank you Mr. Travnik and we also hope to see you soon.
