PE4Trans project was presented on event about Smart Regeneration of Cities and Regions on 20th and 21st of September hosted in Valladolid (Spain).
"BY & FOR CITIZENS Conference" on “Smart Regeneration of Cities and Regions” was aimed at becoming a forum to gain comprehensive insights into the opportunities and challenges conferred by innovative city transformation strategies across Europe. The conference was held in the city of Valladolid (Spain) and was a chance of gathering experts in city transformation strategies from its different perspectives, covering smart city approaches, re-naturing of cities, circular economy or successful histories of innovation ecosystems setting the citizen at the centre of the city regeneration towards more sustainable and more liveable environments.
An excellent place and time for presenting PE4Trans project!
PE4Trans had the opportunity to be present at the hall of the venue, where the Valladolid City Council, the co-organizer of the conference, showed the main innovation projects with posters explaining the projects that are been carried out in the city, and how they are contributing to the Smart Regeneration of Valladolid.
Technicians of the Innovation Agency of the municipality explained to the attendees the main objectives of PE4Trans project, the activities that the City Council will carry out proximately, and how this project is really aligned with the motto of the conference “By & FOR CITIZENS” due to PE4Trans addresses the improvement of public transport policies by including citizens to the process of sustainable transport design.
The Brokerage Event organized by the Enterprise Europe Network (https://een.ec.europa.eu/) was also a great chance to talk and share experiences and initiatives with other cities and stakeholders about sustainable mobility. There, the City Council confirmed important contacts for keeping working on best practices on sustainable mobility around Europe within the PE4Trans scope.
