PLASTECO’s first stakeholder meeting for the Municipality of Rethymno took place on 23.02.2020 online.
The purpose of the meeting was to present the project and to bring together public and private stakeholders. During the meeting the stakeholders were informed on the project goals and its envisioned impact and how they can be involved in the project. During the discussion the economic and social factors that hinder the sustainable development and plastic waste disposal in a circular economy were highlighted.
The attendees to the meeting were from: the Municipality of Rethymno, the Region of Crete, academic institutions, other public authorities as well as companies and business associations.
The second stakeholder meeting for Rethymno has been scheduled for March.
