About this good practice
The regional government of CyL, through ICE, promoted the creation of REDEI. It is the instrument which orders the current panorama of instruments and agents regarding entrepreneurship and innovation, and will be responsible for executing the Entrepreneurship, Innovation and self-employment Strategy of CyL 2016-20. The Network seeks to generate a community open to entrepreneurship, talent and innovation through public-private partnerships, the strengthening of inter-sectoral relations, the development of a process for effective regional Technology Transfer, the interconnection of its partners to generate new value projects and the inclusion of innovation as a driver for any kind of entrepreneurship (creation of innovative companies). REDEI is composed by 106 members, main agents of the ecosystem of entrepreneurship and innovation that come from public sector (national, regional and local administration), science and innovation (universities, clusters, technological centers), companies (SMEs, Big Companies, Self-Employment. Entrepreneurs), financial shuttle and other facilitators (Foundations, associations). REDEI has an Advisory Board and ICE is in charge of the Secretariat. It exist an Executive Coordination Committee, which was set up in April 2017. The network is structured in 5 working groups in charge of: Entrepreneurship, Industry 4.0, Bioeconomy, Innovation and Transfer, and European Projects. REDEI has a common space for working with an own website REDEI.ES.

REDEI is financed by own resources (only was contract website), around 60 people involved (advisory board, executive coordination committee, secretariat and working groups). The networking activities and the exchange of information is been doing through the intranet in www.redei.es managed by ICE
Evidence of success
As consequence of the Castilla y León Entrepreneurship and Innovation Network, the regional innovation system behavior has experimented a significant improvement regarding R&D and innovation programs, as a result of the measures of the Regional Strategy implemented until today. The number of entities participating in these initiatives have been increased, as well as the number of successfully experiences (106 in total on April 2018).
Potential for learning or transfer
We consider this practice interesting for other regions to learn, and with potential for transfer, because of the key success factor such as it is the network itself. The collaboration among the agents of the quadruple helix allows to share and optimize resources, to be informed about the events which are going to be celebrated, exchange documentation, and work all together in the same direction. The Network could be replicated in other context or regions taking into account that the way to be successful is by the involvement of all the regional public and private innovation agents.
