About this good practice
The University of Applied Sciences in Piła since it beginnings cooperates with the business environment, but for the past two years these contacts are even more dynamic. This is mainly because due to dual studies - an innovative educational project. The advantage over the traditional model of learning is based upon guiding the student to a partnering company, where he participates in more hours of vocational training than the students of a traditional type of studies; the student is also given a grant founded by the employer; and he is enabled to complete specialised sectoral projects.
The University of Applied Sciences cooperates with eighteen companies including: Philips Lighting Poland, Quad Graphics Europe, SeaKing Poland, SAPA Aluminium, or H. Essers Transport Company Poland. It is one of the few Universities in Poland that cooperates with businesses on such a broad scale.
