This is the good practice's implementation level. It can be national, regional or local.
About this good practice
The main objective of this project is to restore in situ, village or micro-region, the local memory through archives, sound and visuals kept in the sound library department of the Corsica Museum. This practice falls within the context of the weakening of the transmission of local memory through the breaking of intergenerational links and the need to preserve it in order to better restore it in the future. During a listening session, the goal is to bring together people who share this common memory, in order to offer them direct access to the sound archives that concern them. This event to raise awareness of intangible heritage favors the special relationships that men and women have with their territory. This is a cooperative approach and a networking of local actors intended to create links between people around a common project, in order to allow the exchange and sharing of knowledge. These itinerant meetings, particularly popular with the public, have been extended to various villages in Corsica. These field mediation actions advocate a synergy of cultural actors with the Collectivity, around a geostrategy for the enhancement of the local intangible heritage during a listening session directly in the villages concerned. Each year, many meetings are organized in different villages in Corsica.
Resources needed
The practice requires having audio or visual archives, which can also be present in populations who would be invited to share it. To coordinate this type of action, the involvement of a competent person in terms of archiving and meeting facilitation is essential.
Evidence of success
Each year since its creation in 2009, nearly 6-7 meetings have been scheduled and even in 2020 despite the health crisis. We can say that since its creation, the affected population exceeds 5,000 people. About fifty reception structures (town hall, library, association, festivals) have already signed an agreement with the Collectivité de Corse on this occasion.
Potential for learning or transfer
If resources are available (heritage and cultural elements in various forms), the practice is simple and does not simply require temporal involvement to carry it out. The population may be skeptical at the start, and as with every “novelty”, but this feeling disappears when communication is active and when we show them the value of such an approach, both to revive memories and to promote them. transmit. The local population lives these sessions both as a manifestation of restitution (a situ) of their collective memory but also as a great opportunity to rediscover their intangible heritage through a thematic, festive and intergenerational occasion. For the authority in charge of the practice, it is just as involved since it owns or can have numerous sound archives and it is they who initiate the process with local cultural actors. She would feel just as beneficial, because these exchanges are an opportunity for her to shine through partnership (agreements).
