The Policy Learning Platform has launched a new type of event: a series of short webinars.

What is the concept?

We will organise series of 30-minute webinars spread across several weeks and divided into sub-topics. In 30 minutes, you will have the opportunity to learn from experts everything that is useful about a certain topic.

Our first series of short webinars will take place in March 2021 and will focus on workplace training.

We've put together the following three mini webinars for you, which will be spread out over three consecutive weeks and will last 30 minutes:

What you can expect:

The topic should interest all regions seeking to retain young talent, support SMEs in their skills development and to boost regional growth. The mini-series focuses on the benefits that such practices have for SMEs and regions.

The sessions will illustrate the effectiveness of programmes where young people are positioned directly into SMEs to solve challenges relevant to the company while also getting valuable working experience.

Initiatives such as these are even more important in the light of COVID-19 as SMEs drastically require additional support mechanism and young graduates need opportunities to start their careers. Furthermore, young workers can often bring the knowledge and skills needed to innovate, digitalise and internationalise SMEs.

The mini-webinars seek to inspire other regions to set up public-private or triple helix collaboration schemes for positioning students into companies.

You can sign up to one single session, however, we look forward to seeing you in all three!
