On the 19th of July 2021 the Public Investment Development Agency ( VIPA), organized the third stakeholder group meeting to inform the stakeholders about the Second and Third Interregional Thematic Seminars in France and Poland and to discuss the POWERTY project activities.  As well, stakeholders participated in the interactive discussion/brainstorming regarding Lithuanian Good practices and Action plan ideas.

Also, Ms. Rūta Trainytė from ALCO updated information about the program called STEP project (Solutions To Tackle Energy Poverty), which is about creation of energy advisors’ network. For now, the Alliance of Lithuanian Consumer Organisation (LVOA) has already finished social workers’ training, for now they are having tests to get energy advisers certificates. It is planning that there will be about 90 trained social workers. Ms. Rūta Trainytė asked for representatives from Ministry of Social Security and Labour to communicate with LVOA and maybe to start participating more in this program.

During the meeting it was agreed that meetings like this really helps for different institutions that are working with energy poverty issue to update the information they have about everything that is being done to tackle energy poverty from social, legal, and other perspectives in Lithuania.

There were participants from Ministry of Social Security and Labour, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Environment, and Alliance of Lithuanian Consumer Organisations. Involvement will be ensured through upcoming stakeholder meetings, time-to-time consultations, local meetings, and participation in different events.
