The second Interregional Exchange Event of the PriMaaS Project was organised within the framework of the wider Joint Event "Interregional Mobility: the different approaches and solutions of cooperation" together with the first Workshop of the MOBIMART Project, Smart Mobility Sea-Land, and to the launch event of the MOBIMART PLUS Project, Mobility and Smart Ticketing Sea-Land, both co-financed by the Italy-France Maritime Programme.

Under the umbrella of the joint Event , the transnational and cross-border cooperation overcame the barriers raised in the world by COVID-19, bringing together 36 speakers and 77 participants from 7 European countries on the topics of mobility of people on 2-3 December 2020.

The event, divided into Thematic Conferences and Bulding Capacity Workshops, featured speakers from the quadruple helix, public bodies, universities and research centres, companies and associations and interactive surveys on current and future challenges and on the various topics concerning the mobility of people, including COVID-19.

                

The Joint Event has reached the aim to represent a real moment of exchange of experiences and knowledge in the matter of passenger mobility and Mobility as a Service.

The organization of the event was closely coordinated by the leaders of the three Projects Universidade de Aveiro (PriMaaS), Regione Toscana (MOBIMART) and Regione Liguria (MOBIMART PLUS), TTS-Italia and Comune di Genova, respectively Partners of PriMaaS and MOBIMART. In addition, the Universidade de Aveiro was supported by Inova+, Regione Liguria was supported by the in house Company Liguria Ricerche Spa, in charge of communication activities of the three Projects PriMaaS, MOBIMART and MOBIMART PLUS, and Comune di Genova by T-Bridge, consultant for the MOBIMART Project. The working group was also implemented by the journalist and chairman, Andrea Burzacchini, and the graphic designer, Nicoletta Piersantelli.

The Joint Event allowed to reach, at cross-border and transnational level, a wide audience of public and private stakeholders in matter of mobility of the people, governance of the system of the public transport, ICT solutions adopted in terms of intermodality, travel planning and e-ticketing and Mobility as a Service (MaaS). The two days dedicated to the event were presented, thanks to the intervention of a various panel of speakers, visions, approaches and solutions aimed at improving the mobility of citizens in the European territories in terms of cooperation.

In particular, the first day opened with a Living Lab "Promotion of connections to reduce distances: the Thematic Pole that capitalizes the projects co-financed by the Italy-France Maritime Programme" during which the Italian Management Authority of the Italy-France Maritime Programme 2014-2020 has launched the thematic Pole correlated.

The first part of the event saw the involvement of the project leaders MOBIMART, MOBIMART PLUS and PriMaaS regarding the projects focus on the "mobility of passengers" in order to know the state of the art and the lines of intervention of each project and the territories involved.

The second part of the event is dedicated to the first Thematic Conference focused on the topic "The role of the ICT in the Governance of the system of transport of the passengers in the territories of the cooperation", during which the speakers involved described the overall overview of the initiatives promoted in each territory. The first part of the second day, that it has involved the institutional greetings of the Regional Councillors Giovanni Berrino of Regione Liguria and Stefano Baccelli of Regione Toscana, was dedicated to the Building Capacity Workshop on the theme of Maas and low-carbon mobility services, with the aim of sharing visions and solutions to strengthen knowledge in the context of new business models for the provision of services.

In addition, a second Thematic Conference on the standardisation of information and interoperability of systems was organised with the aim of sharing the solutions and methodologies adopted in the three projects MOBIMART, MOBIMART PLUS and PriMaaS to improve information standardisation and system interoperability.

                

 

The last session of the second day is characterized by another Thematic Conference on integration of the system of the mobility in the harbour cities and territorial specificity and from a Building Capacity Workshop on the opportunities and the perspectives of business related to the MaaS issues as business models that look to the future of mobility.

On both days, the described sessions were completed with interactive sessions involving the participants thanks to the Online Survey tool.
