On October 3 2017 Poliedra opened the first focused meeting, hosted by Carinthia with a short presentation. Three regional partners (Malta, Lazio and Carinthia) were enjoying the expertise of the advisory partner and discussing in a small group.
Initially the attendants deliberated the Interreg Europe template for action plans and probable ways of improving the policy instruments the project partners are focusing most on. Furthermore, all participants worked together on identifying overall objectives for action plans and integrating findings from project meetings and workshops into them.
Afterwards, the focus of the conversation changed to discussing ways of effectively and pragmatically exchanging knowledge among the project partners. Collectively working on a draft Poliedra had prepared in advance, the attendants singled out several items that should be dispersed as mutual knowledge.
However, the question is not only what knowledge to contribute but also how to exchange it: It could be ineffective to simply exchange policy instruments as written, as the partners are embedded in different legal traditions and speak different languages. The attendants agreed that, to facilitate mutual learning, they would promote the creation of short and useful summaries that allow regions to identify the essence of well-working policy instruments. As a result, these summaries would help to communicate important ideas and adapt good practices of other project partners.
After the focused meeting the partners had the first chance to test the prepared full electric fleet of cars on a trip to a first league handball game near the city of Klagenfurt.
