Lazio Region III Stakeholder Workshop has been held in Rome on 17 October 2018.

The meeting opened with institutional greetings from Mr Mauro Alessandri Councillor for Public Works e Land Protection, Mobility and Mrs Manuela Manetti Regional Director for Housing Policies and Territorial, Landscape and Urban Planning.

The first part of the Workshop has been dedicated to the description of Prometeus partner Best Practices.

Mr Victor Battistino (Transport Malta), Prometeus Project Leading Partner, illustrated the Best Practices “Educational Activity for Children-Skola Sajf- Respect for All” an environmental education campaign managed by Malta National Electromobility Platform (MNEP) targeting children aged between 7 and 12 years.

The representative of Castilla y Leòn Regional Government Mr Carlos Ivan Rinones Mena illustrated the BP “REMOURBAN” a Smart City Project aiming at establishing a joint approach among technology, electro-mobility and communication.

Mr Gerald Miklin illustrated the situation of electro-mobility in Carinthia.

In the region there are no large cities and it is the only case in Europe where most of electro-mobility infrastructures are installed in suburban areas. In 2008 a public consultation has been organized on local mobility needs. The solution identified by public administrations was to set up a system of recharge points supported by a platform used by citizens. More than 1000 charging points have been installed and this make Carinthia the most equipped European region in terms of electric charging points.

After partner BPs analysis, Mrs Natascia Andrenacci from ENEA - National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development and Mrs Annalisa Bucci from Metropolitan City of Rome Capital illustrated the Valladolid Study Visit they attended as Lazio Region stakeholders. Mrs Annalisa Bucci underlined the good level of institutional dialogue and cooperation among public and private bodies existing in Valladolid.

The technical coordinator of the Project, Mr Gianluca Lentini from Poliedra-Politecnico di Milano, analyzed the tools foreseen by the Project to study, deepen and exchange Best Practices and illustrated the regional policy instruments the partners aim to improve. Mr Lentini informed the attendees that Prometeus project selected 19 Good Practices and that Interreg Europe found most of them very interesting. That’s way the Programme asked the Project to collaborate in elaborating a Policy Brief Document on Electromobility.

The meeting has been attended also by Majorana High School that participated to Horizon 2020 SMASH - Smart Sharing Project.

The students explained how some of them tested within the project electric bikes as a mean of sustainable mobility.

During the final debate most of the stakeholders underlined the importance of increasing the awareness of citizens about electric mobility and proposed solutions to solve the problem of drivers parking cars in recharging points.

Lazio Region and Rome Mobility Services illustrated their plans to strenghten electromobility in the Region and in Rome municipality territory.
