Regional Government of Castilla y León hosted the second Regional Dissemination Event (RDE2) in Burgos on the 12th of December, 2018, aiming at the exchange of knowledge and good practices for the promotion of electromobility. The General Directorate of Industry and Competitiveness introduced the Prometeus project and presented the main findings and results of the first 2 years of the project.

 

The event was divided into three sessions:

The vision of Car manufacturers vision: represented by Nissan and Renault.

• The vision of Electricity companies and charging managers: represented by Iberdrola (@Iberdrola) and Fenie Energia (@fenieenergia.es).

• Innovation projects:

o Casple which has developed two prototypes of a 2-seat urban electric vehicle under the URBAN-EV project (Super Light Architectures for Safe and Affordable Urban Electric Vehicles). Their goal is to demonstrate the feasibility of key vehicle lightweighting technologies applied to manufacture light urban electric vehicles with new standards of mechanical performance and occupant safety.

o Grupo Antolin, which is one of the largest players in the car interiors market worldwide and leader in headliner substrates, presented the innovation strategy to respond to the trends and needs of society, as a joint effort to make them an industrial reality.

 

Stakeholders, business, academia, local population and general public attended the event. Moreover, participants in the event had the possibility to test electric cars. The available models were Renault Twizy and Nissan Leaf.
