The purpose of the meeting was to sum up the local stakeholder involvement in the project that took place in semester 4 and discuss the progress of the development in Väröbacka.
The knowledge building activities result in a platform for the planning of the PERI-urban area of Väröbacka. The planning directions that Varberg has taken for the area have a connection to many of the PROSPERA values and subjects for example mobility, environment, business and building. The meeting also had been structured for keeping each part informed about the progress. The participation and cooperation between the local governance and the regional level on issues of planning for a new “village” is being in the start of taking form. The local level has a planning monopoly in Sweden and cooperation with the regional level in these matters are a sensitive issue. Therefore, the meeting was a good start and the need for more exchange of information was identified.
