The third Startup Weekend Thessaloniki is organized by OK! THESS on December 7th -9th , at the premises of the pre-incubator of Thessaloniki Municipality. The initiative is taken by the Municipality to foster innovation and let ideas grow big! The Startup Weekend is the perfect start!
Startup Weekend is nowadays one of the most popular institutions of young entrepreneurship in the world. Participants form teams and are invited to develop and present integrated business plans within 54 hours, under the guidance of business, academic and investment professionals. It gives young entrepreneurs the opportunity to work on their idea, be trained by mentors and market people, work with other people who share common interests, evaluate their idea by experienced professionals and finally create their own startup.
The Startup Weekend begins in Friday afternoon with initial ideas presentation and group formation, continues at intensive rhythms during the weekend with brainstorming and developing business canvases to finish on Sunday night with group presentations to be evaluated by the judges in terms of the final original product or service, viability of the business plan and innovation. Throughout the event, all mentors stay supportive to the teams to guide them and solve any problem. The winners win prizes-services that give them the opportunity to showcase their idea at national and international level.
