In the framework of the 4th semester of the Interreg Europe Qualify project on February 22, 2021 a virtual meeting was held with representatives of the General Sub-Directorate for Fisheries and Maritime Affairs
The central theme of the QUALIFY project of this 4th semester is the promotion of the authenticity of food as a value for consumers. For this reason, it has been considered interesting to comment the Analysis-technical work "Analysis of the Catalan consumer of fish and seafood" carried out by AECOC Shopperview for the Department of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food, General Sub-Directorate for Fisheries and Maritime Affairs, in which the concerns and preferences of fish consumers are reflected, also in aspects of authenticity.
The aim of the project is to deepen the knowledge of the consumer of fish and/or seafood in Catalonia, focusing on the consumption of fish from the Catalan coast. Given the relevance of the topic in the framework of Qualify, this study has been considered a good practice of the project.
