IFKA will host an Interreg Volunteer Youth

The Hungarian partner of RaiSE will host a volunteer to help in Interreg projects

IFKA’s application to host an Interreg Volunteer Youth (IVY) has been successful. The organisation is now in the process of selecting the right candidate, who will help in the Interreg Danube project SENSES and learn more about other Interreg projects IFKA works in, such as RaiSE.

The IVY initiative is aimed at involving young European volunteers to support, promote and report the concrete achievements of Interreg programmes and projects, as well as generally promote cooperation across borders and related values such as solidarity. The IVY will give volunteers the opportunity to familiarise with the Interreg programmes and projects, make them aware of the many benefits of collaboration among EU internal borders as well as enhance their sense of European solidarity, citizenship and civic engagement. Volunteers are paid by the EABR (European Association of Border Regions) and can stay in the organisations between 2 and 6 months.

More information about the IVY initiative is available here: http://ec.europa.eu/regional_policy/en/newsroom/news/2017/03/15-03-2017-interreg-is-proud-to-launch-interreg-volunteer-youth-and-be-part-of-the-european-solidarity-corps-initiative-launched-by-president-juncker
