Third stakeholder group meeting in Catalonia
The Catalan stakeholder group for RaiSE celebrated the third meeting on 5 June 2018 in Barcelona.
Welcome
The meeting started with an introduction round, because there were stakeholders that didn’t know each other, and with a reminder of the purpose of the “regional stakeholder group”: it consists of public and private institutions that advice or have influence in the public policy that the project wants to improve (Government of Catalonia Third Social Sector Support Plan). Stakeholders are invited to participate in internal Catalan meetings and international project meetings.
Overview of the project meetings in Emilia-Romagna and Örebro
The content and the conclusions of the two last interregional meetings of RaiSE consortium in Emilia-Romagna and Örebro were explained to the group. In November 2017 we could know first-hand the strong cooperative tradition of Emilia-Romagna and the actions that the region is carrying out to introduce social clauses in public procurement. In April 2018 we could learn how social enterprises fit into the Swedish Welfare State, and the strong empowerment that municipalities have.
Good Practices Guide
The first good practice that Catalonia presented was ACCIÓ’s service “Aracoop Internacional”. The other five good practices identified so far within the consortium were presented in the stakeholders meeting, and afterwards there was a debate about which could be the second good practice presented by Catalonia (taking into account that there is no limit and that more than two good practices could be presented).
Next project meeting in Scotland
Stakeholders were invited to participate in the next RaiSE interregional meeting in Scotland, which will be held in Edinburgh from 12 to 14 September 2018 within the Social Enterprise World Forum. During the meeting there will be study visits to representative social enterprises in Edinburgh, the fifth internal management meeting of the consortium and the presentation of the second good practice chosen by each partner. Besides, the partnership will attend workshops and seminars about social enterprises with high level speakers.
Other interesting issues
On 11th October 2018 we will participate, representing RaiSE project and ACCIÓ, in the European Week of Regions and Cities in Brussels, in a session called “Regions for Social Innovation”. We have also invited RaiSE stakeholders to participate in the session as speakers.
