Region Örebro County visits Clann Credo
The Swedish delegation went to Ireland two weeks ago to exchange experiences with Clann Credo.
Two partners of RaiSE project, WestBIC and Region Örebro County, have recently exchanged knowledge and experience in Dublin. In the last RaiSE interregional meeting, held in April in Örebro, Clann Credo was presented as a good practice and it arose great interest among the Swedish stakeholder group of RaiSE, which requested this bilateral study visit.
During two very interesting days in Dublin, the Swedish delegation met representatives from Clann Credo and learned about its history, its organisation and activities. Clann Credo is Ireland’s leading provider of loans to community organisations that are generating a social return and have the capacity to repay a loan. The delegation also met projects with community impact loans from Clann Credo, as well as representatives from Social Finance Foundation and Pobal.

This exchange of experiences was really fruitful: Swedish participants stated that "this was the best study visit that we have ever had". We are sure that the exchange will lead to improvements in support policies to social enterprises competitiveness in both regions, which is the ultimate goal of RaiSE.
